I tried using the email given for contact and it says it is not a functioning email? I am interested in having my son join your new troop. Is there a different email?

Hi Rosie, sorry to hear you had problem with the contact. You should know that we are now planning to operate as Troop 411 (179 was temporarily used as it was our previous BSA troop number). We should be announcing a first meeting date in the near future, but a lot of people are travelling for Christmas and New Years vacation right now.
